The living area and all the bedrooms have a ceiling fan and we’ve also provided box fans for guests who like a low hum to sleep with or for extra cool comfort. Luggage racks are provided and can be placed inside the large closets, if desired. The first of two master suites has a sleigh king bed, large dresser, his/her nightstands, large flatscreen with DirectTV, and private full bathroom. This luxury master bathroom has two vanities, a custom tile shower, soaker tub, and excessive large walk-in closet. There is a private, lockable toilet room for privacy. The second master suite has a queen panel bed, large LED flatscreen with DIRECTV, large closet, dresser, and its own private full bathroom. Across the house, there are two bedrooms, each with two queen beds. To accommodate these two bedrooms, there is one full bath with a double vanity between the rooms with access from both. Within the bathroom, there is a separate toilet and shower room with a lockable door for privacy. Next to the kitchen, there is a bunk room with two queen bunk beds. The spacious bedroom/game room above the garage accommodates up to 7 guests. Sleeping arrangements include one single bed, two queen beds, and one queen sleeper sofa, full bathroom, along with a large LED flatscreen with DIRECTV and a hocky table. There is a lovely back porch that faces the water, and is breathtaking at sunset. The back of the house has windows so you have a nice lake view from inside or out. The back patio/outdoor kitchen is furnished with one sofa, 4 chairs, and has an outdoor kitchen granite counter with a sink. A separate charcoal grill is provided. There is also an outdoor shower to wash off sand from the lake. It has boat and jet ski rentals (can be delivered to you), an on-site Cafe, bait shop, convenient store, and gas on the water! During the summer, they create a blow-up float park on the water for kids to enjoy, if a wrist band is purchased. For more restaurant or shopping options, guests can drive 15 minutes to Jasper and find Brookshire Brothers grocery, 24 hour Super Walmart and Lowe’s, to name a few.

Direct access to the National Forest trails are a quick drive away. The cottage is within 5 miles of three Turkey Creek Unit hiking trail heads with the start of the 15 mile trail less than a mile away! Explore, hike nature trails, swim, fish, run, ride, bike, sit by the fire, hunt for Bigfoot in the forest, and enjoy the Big Thicket Cottage. Cottage includes one memory foam queen bed, one memory foam full bed, a bunk bed with twin memory foam mattresses, and a single twin bed in a very special kid's nook. Kitchen is fully stocked and ready for you to test your culinary skills while you take in beautiful views of the lake and forest and listen to vinyl on the vintage record player. If you fancy an outdoor cookout, use the charcoal grill out back while you enjoy a fire in the fire ring. Need a break after playing hard all day? The 55” smart TV and DVDs or the closet full of board games are perfect for winding down. Towels, toilet paper, sheets, pillows, and paper towels are provided. 5 beds in 3 bedrooms can sleep 7 comfortably. A cement floor, roofed kennel is onsite for your outside dog (yard is not fully fenced). No pets inside but an air conditioned clean garage is available upon request for pets who typically stay indoors.
